Well no pics or anything interesting but parts are now starting to arrive. Looks like a full week of waiting to begin some reassembly as Sunday is Mother's Day and we won't be working on Herbie.
hey there, dan! this is AWESOME. totally AWESOME that you are doing this with andrew. we had a '69 karmann ghia, ragtop when i was a little girl. it was actually the first thing my parents bought together and the car i learned to drive on. it was mine all through high school and college. they sold it (big sobby sniff) to a collector when my brother was up for driver's training but still see it around town now and then. i have fond memories of holding the flashlight, going to the junk yard for parts, and generally tinkering on it with my dad. those were precious moments. anywho... so excited for you and andrew. i'll be keeping myself posted on your progress. the journey is impressive!! say hi to andrew for me. cheers! jennifer (banks)
